Description
Apple Caramel Bombs are sweet, gooey treats with a spiced apple filling wrapped in dough and drizzled with caramel glaze.

- 2 medium apples (Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), peeled and diced
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough or 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed if frozen)
- 8 soft caramel candies or 8 teaspoons thick caramel sauce
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons heavy cream
- Pinch of sea salt (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook diced apples, butter, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla in a pan over medium heat until soft. Stir in flour.
- Roll out dough and cut into circles. Place caramel and apple filling in the center of each circle.
- Seal the dough around the filling and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix caramel sauce with heavy cream and drizzle over warm Apple Caramel Bombs.
