- 1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 2 teaspoons apple pie spice
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 ¼ cups apple cider, or apple juice
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- ¼ cup apple cider (for topping)
- ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar (for topping)
- 2 teaspoons apple pie spice (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, apple pie spice, and salt.
- Add apple cider, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Stir until just combined.
- Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While warm, brush the top with ¼ cup apple cider.
- Mix sugar and apple pie spice, then sprinkle over the bread.
- Let cool before slicing.
Notes
- Use room-temperature egg for even mixing.
- Replace apple cider with apple juice if needed.
- Adjust baking time based on your oven.
