Description

Delicious banana pudding brownies with a rich brownie base and creamy banana pudding layer.


Ingredients

  • Brownie Layer
  • Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
  • Granulated sugar - 1 cup
  • Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
  • Eggs - 2
  • Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
  • All-purpose flour - 1 cup
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/3 cup
  • Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Optional: Boxed brownie mix
  • Banana Pudding Layer
  • Instant banana pudding mix - 3.4 oz
  • Cold milk - 2 cups
  • Topping Layer
  • Whipped topping or homemade whipped cream - 2 cups
  • Vanilla wafers, crushed - 1 cup
  • Optional banana slices - for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
  3. Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, and mix well.
  4. Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture.
  5. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until combined.
  6. Spread the brownie batter into a greased baking dish.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. While brownies cool, prepare the banana pudding layer by whisking instant banana pudding mix and cold milk in a bowl.
  9. Once thickened, spread the banana pudding over the cooled brownies.
  10. Add whipped topping on top of the banana pudding layer.
  11. Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers over the whipped topping.
  12. Add optional banana slices for serving.

Notes

  • Allow brownies to cool completely before adding pudding layer.
  • Store in the refrigerator for best results.
