Delicious banana pudding brownies with a rich brownie base and creamy banana pudding layer.
Ingredients
- Brownie Layer
- Unsalted butter - 1/2 cup
- Granulated sugar - 1 cup
- Brown sugar - 1/2 cup
- Eggs - 2
- Vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour - 1 cup
- Unsweetened cocoa powder - 1/3 cup
- Salt - 1/4 teaspoon
- Optional: Boxed brownie mix
- Banana Pudding Layer
- Instant banana pudding mix - 3.4 oz
- Cold milk - 2 cups
- Topping Layer
- Whipped topping or homemade whipped cream - 2 cups
- Vanilla wafers, crushed - 1 cup
- Optional banana slices - for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, melt the unsalted butter.
- Add granulated sugar and brown sugar to the melted butter, and mix well.
- Incorporate eggs and vanilla extract into the mixture.
- Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until combined.
- Spread the brownie batter into a greased baking dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While brownies cool, prepare the banana pudding layer by whisking instant banana pudding mix and cold milk in a bowl.
- Once thickened, spread the banana pudding over the cooled brownies.
- Add whipped topping on top of the banana pudding layer.
- Sprinkle crushed vanilla wafers over the whipped topping.
- Add optional banana slices for serving.
Notes
- Allow brownies to cool completely before adding pudding layer.
- Store in the refrigerator for best results.
