Description

Bang Bang Chicken Bowl is a flavorful and satisfying dish featuring crispy chicken tossed in a spicy sauce served over rice with fresh vegetables.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or vegetable oil
  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 12 teaspoons sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 2 cups cooked white or brown rice
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • 1 cup sliced cucumber
  • 1 cup shredded cabbage or lettuce
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds, for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Coat chicken pieces in the flour mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Add chicken and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and rice vinegar or lime juice.
  6. Toss cooked chicken in the Bang Bang sauce until well coated.
  7. In a bowl, layer rice, then top with chicken, carrots, cucumber, cabbage or lettuce, and green onions.
  8. Garnish with sesame seeds and cilantro.

Notes

  • Adjust sriracha for desired spiciness.
  • Use leftover chicken for a quicker meal.
