Description

BBQ Brisket Melts are hearty sandwiches filled with smoked brisket and melted cheese.


Ingredients

  • 1 brisket
  • Mustard (for binding)
  • Pepper-forward brisket rub
  • Hickory wood pellets (for smoking)
  • Sourdough bread
  • Colby jack cheese
  • Provolone cheese
  • Fried crispy onions
  • Unsalted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the brisket by rubbing it with mustard and the brisket rub.
  2. Smoke the brisket using hickory wood pellets for about 10-12 hours at 225°F.
  3. Let the brisket rest before slicing it thinly.
  4. Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
  5. Layer brisket, colby jack cheese, provolone cheese, and crispy onions between two slices of bread.
  6. Grill the sandwiches until the bread is golden and the cheese melts.
