Ingredients

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg yolk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup corn syrup or maple syrup
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add egg yolk and vanilla extract, mixing well.
  4. Gradually stir in flour and salt to form a dough.
  5. In another bowl, combine pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, egg, vanilla extract, and cinnamon for the filling.
  6. Roll dough into small balls and press into a greased muffin tin to form cups.
  7. Spoon pecan filling into each dough cup.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden.
  9. Let cool before serving.
