Ingredients

- 3 small Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced small (about 2 cups)
- ½ cup (100 g) light brown sugar, packed
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- ⅔ cup (133 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- ½ cup (122.5 g) whole milk, room temperature
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups (187.5 g) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ cup (80 g) caramel sauce, for drizzling
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the diced apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the apple mixture.
- Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow to cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container.
- Best served warm.
- Can substitute other apples if desired.
