Description

A sweet and moist bread filled with caramel and apple flavors.


Ingredients

  • 3 small Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and diced small (about 2 cups)
  • ½ cup (100 g) light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup (133 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (1 stick / 113 g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup (122.5 g) whole milk, room temperature
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups (187.5 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ cup (80 g) caramel sauce, for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the diced apples with light brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the butter mixture, mixing well.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the apple mixture.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Allow to cool, then drizzle with caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
  • Best served warm.
