Description

Cheese Steak Chimichangas are a delicious fusion of cheesy steak and crispy tortillas, perfect for a hearty meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb flank steak, sliced into thin slices about ½ inch long
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • 1 tablespoon Montreal Steak Seasoning, or to taste
  • 8 slices American white cheese
  • ½ cup pepper jack cheese, grated (or any cheese of your choice)
  • 6 raw or cooked tortillas
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • Salsa, sour cream, and cilantro for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat avocado oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the sliced flank steak and cook until browned.
  3. Season with Montreal Steak Seasoning to taste.
  4. Remove from heat and mix in the cheeses until melted.
  5. Fill each tortilla with the steak and cheese mixture, then fold into a burrito shape.
  6. Brush the chimichangas with melted butter.
  7. Bake or fry until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve with salsa, sour cream, and cilantro.

  • Use freshly grated cheese for better melting.
