Ingredients

- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- ½ medium onion (chopped)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 cups broccoli florets (fresh or thawed frozen)
- ½ tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken (e.g., rotisserie)
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably sharp)
- Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat olive oil and butter in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add chopped onion and garlic, sauté until softened.
- Add broccoli florets and Italian seasoning, cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in orzo and chicken broth, bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 10 minutes until orzo is tender.
- Stir in heavy cream and Worcestershire sauce.
- Add shredded chicken and cheddar cheese, mix until cheese melts.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Notes
- Use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken for ease.
- Adjust the amount of cheese based on preference.
- Add more vegetables if desired.
