Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9x13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
  4. Stir in the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, and salt. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  5. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan—dampen your fingers or use a spatula to press it flat.
  6. In a small bowl, mix the topping sugar and cinnamon together, then sprinkle it evenly over the dough.
  7. Bake for 25–28 minutes, or until the edges are golden and the center is just set.
  8. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into bars.
