For the Crust:

  • 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the Filling:

  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 cups chopped pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour and salt, mix until crumbly.
  3. Press into pan. Bake for 15–18 minutes. Let cool slightly.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla.
  5. Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
  6. Pour over crust, spread evenly.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes until set and golden.
  8. Cool completely, then chill for 1 hour before slicing.
