For the Crust:
- 1 cup 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (packed)
- 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
For the Filling:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups chopped pecans
- 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a 9x13-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and brown sugar. Add flour and salt, mix until crumbly.
- Press into pan. Bake for 15–18 minutes. Let cool slightly.
- In a large bowl, whisk eggs, corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Stir in pecans and chocolate chips.
- Pour over crust, spread evenly.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes until set and golden.
- Cool completely, then chill for 1 hour before slicing.
