Ingredients

  • 24 Christmas sugar cookies (or shortbread cookies)
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (100g) granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream or whipped topping
  • 1 package (3.4 oz / 96g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) cold milk
  • ½ teaspoon almond extract (optional for a festive flavor)
  • ½ cup crushed Christmas cookies
  • 2 cups whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Crush the Christmas cookies and mix with melted butter to form the crust.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. In a bowl, beat together cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Fold in the heavy cream or whipped topping.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  7. In another bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and cold milk until thickened.
  8. Add almond extract and crushed cookies to the pudding mixture.
  9. Spread the pudding mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  10. Top with whipped topping and refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.
