Description

A delicious cinnamon-flavored bread that combines the taste of donuts with the ease of bread-making.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar for topping
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Alternate adding the milk and dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon) to the mixture, starting and ending with the dry ingredients.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Mix the topping sugar and cinnamon together and sprinkle evenly over the batter.
  8. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  9. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • For extra flavor, add a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk.
