A cheesy, beefy, and comforting casserole inspired by classic coney dogs. This Coney Chili Mac Casserole is a one-pan wonder that’s quick, hearty, and sure to please the whole family.

For the Casserole:
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups cooked elbow macaroni (about 1 cup dry)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- ½ cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp mustard (yellow or Dijon)
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese (plus more for topping if desired)
Optional Topping:
- Crushed crackers or crispy onions
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8x8 or 9x9-inch baking dish.
- Brown the ground beef in a skillet; drain excess fat.
- Stir in tomato sauce, broth, mustard, and chili powder; simmer 5–8 mins.
- Mix in cooked macaroni until well coated.
- Transfer to baking dish, top with cheese and optional toppings.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 mins until bubbly.
- Rest 5 mins before serving.
