Description

A delicious tart featuring creamy Brie cheese, sweet cranberry sauce, and savory pancetta, topped with fresh thyme.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 8 ounces Brie cheese, sliced
  • 1 cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 4 ounces pancetta, diced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh thyme sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
  3. Transfer the pastry to a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spread the cranberry sauce evenly over the pastry.
  5. Layer the Brie slices over the cranberry sauce.
  6. In a skillet, cook the diced pancetta until crispy, then sprinkle it over the Brie.
  7. Sprinkle fresh thyme leaves over the top.
  8. Fold the edges of the pastry over the filling slightly.
  9. Brush the edges with the beaten egg.
  10. Season with salt and pepper.
  11. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
  12. Let it cool slightly before garnishing with fresh thyme sprigs and serving.

Notes

  • Use homemade cranberry sauce for a fresher flavor.
  • Feel free to substitute the pancetta with bacon if desired.
