- 2 Tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp all-purpose flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 cups whole milk
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 2 Tbsp granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs, whisked
- 1 1/2 Tbsp active dry yeast
- 4 cups all-purpose flour, measured then sifted
- 16 Tbsp unsalted butter, room temperature
- 8 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 1/3 cups granulated sugar
Instructions
- Warm the milk to about 110°F and dissolve the yeast and 2 Tbsp sugar in it. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and the remaining sugar. Add the yeast mixture, eggs, and butter. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with softened cream cheese, and sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar.
- Roll the dough tightly into a log, slice into rolls, and place in a greased baking dish.
- Let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes, then bake at 350°F for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
