Description

A simple and delicious recipe for Crockpot French Dip Sandwiches.


Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef chuck roast
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 4 slices provolone cheese (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season the beef chuck roast with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  3. Sear the roast in the skillet until browned on all sides.
  4. Transfer the roast to a crockpot.
  5. Add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and soy sauce to the crockpot.
  6. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.
  7. Shred the beef with two forks and stir it into the juices.
  8. Serve on hoagie rolls with provolone cheese and garnish with parsley, if desired.

Notes

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
  • Serve with a side of dipping sauce using the cooking liquid.
  • Can be made a day ahead and reheated.
