Description

This easy homemade white bread is soft, fluffy, and perfect for sandwiches or toast.


Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and salt.
  3. Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mixture.
  4. Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
  5. Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
  6. If desired, sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
  8. Allow to cool before slicing.
