This easy homemade white bread is soft, fluffy, and perfect for sandwiches or toast.

- 1 unbaked 9-inch pie crust (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg or cinnamon (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, mix the sugar, flour, and salt.
- Add the milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the mixture.
- Stir in the melted butter until well combined.
- Pour the mixture into the unbaked pie crust.
- If desired, sprinkle nutmeg or cinnamon on top.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.
- Allow to cool before slicing.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
- Can be served warm or at room temperature.
- Try adding chocolate chips for a different flavor.
