- ½ cup heavy cream
- ¼ cup unsalted butter
- ⅓ cup light brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon flaky sea salt (plus extra for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, baking soda, and fine sea salt.
- In another bowl, cream together softened butter, light brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract, mixing well.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
- In a saucepan, heat heavy cream, unsalted butter, light brown sugar, and flaky sea salt to make the caramel swirl.
- Once the caramel is ready, swirl it into the cookie dough.
- Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Sprinkle with extra sea salt before baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet before transferring to a wire rack.
