Easy Turtle Bars are a delicious dessert combining a buttery crust, caramel pecan layer, and chocolate topping.

- 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup pecan halves
- ⅔ cup butter
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 cup milk chocolate chips
- Extra chopped pecans (optional)
- Sea salt flakes (optional)
- Drizzled caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix flour, brown sugar, and cold butter for the crust until crumbly.
- Press crust mixture into a greased 9x9-inch baking pan.
- Bake crust for 15 minutes until lightly golden.
- Melt butter and brown sugar for the caramel layer, then stir in pecans.
- Pour caramel pecan mixture over the baked crust.
- Bake for another 15 minutes.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot caramel layer.
- Let sit for 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
- Cool completely before cutting into bars.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
- Add optional garnishes after cooling.
