Description

Delicious cream puffs filled with eggnog flavored whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup butter, cubed
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
  • 1/4 cup eggnog
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Additional confectioners’ sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in flour and nutmeg until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool completely.
  7. Whip the heavy cream, confectioners’ sugar, eggnog, vanilla, and nutmeg until stiff peaks form.
  8. Cut the tops off the cooled cream puffs and fill with the whipped cream mixture.
  9. Replace the tops and dust with additional confectioners’ sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Make sure the eggs are at room temperature for best results.
  • You can use store-bought eggnog if you prefer.
  • Store any leftovers in the refrigerator.
