A delicious pastry combining the flavors of espresso, apple, and cream cheese in a flaky puff pastry.

- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 large apple, thinly sliced
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon brewed espresso or strong coffee
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Optional: powdered sugar and milk for glaze
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, granulated sugar, brown sugar, espresso, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the puff pastry.
- Arrange the apple slices on top of the cream cheese layer.
- Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
- If desired, drizzle with a glaze made of powdered sugar and milk.
- Cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Use a sharp knife to thinly slice the apple.
- For extra flavor, sprinkle cinnamon on top before baking.
- Let the pastry cool for at least 5 minutes before slicing.
