Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup uncooked long-grain white rice
  • 1 lb of ground beef
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 4 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan, grated
  • 3 cups beef broth (low sodium)
  • Salt and pepper as needed
  • 1 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package instructions.
  2. Brown ground beef in a pan over medium heat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until softened.
  4. Stir in milk, cheddar, Parmesan, beef broth, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  5. Simmer until cheese melts and mixture thickens.
  6. Mix in cooked rice and butter.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
