A rich and easy German chocolate dump cake with layers of coconut, pecans, and chocolate.
Ingredients

- 1 cup sweetened shredded coconut
- 1 1/2 cups chopped toasted pecans, divided
- 1 package devil's food cake mix (regular size)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Spread coconut and 1 cup pecans in a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle cake mix evenly over the coconut and pecans.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese, melted butter, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add confectioners' sugar and mix well.
- Drop spoonfuls of cream cheese mixture over the cake mix.
- Top with chocolate chips and remaining pecans.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until set.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Toast pecans for extra flavor.
- Serve warm with ice cream if desired.
- Store leftovers covered in the fridge.
