Description

Grandma’s Snowballs Cookies are a classic holiday treat that’s buttery, nutty, and dusted with powdered sugar for a snowy finish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup finely chopped pecans
  • Extra powdered sugar for rolling

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until smooth.
  3. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the flour and chopped pecans, mixing until the dough comes together.
  5. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls and place them on a baking sheet.
  6. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool slightly.
  8. Roll the warm cookies in powdered sugar until fully coated.
  9. Let cool completely, then roll in powdered sugar again before serving.

Notes

  • Store the cookies in an airtight container to keep them fresh.
  • For a nut-free version, omit the pecans.
