Description

Hillbilly Pie, also known as Poor Man’s Pie, is an easy and delightful dessert made with crescent roll dough.


Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into a greased baking dish.
  3. In a bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and cinnamon.
  4. Spread the butter mixture evenly over the dough.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Let it cool slightly.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract.
  8. Drizzle the icing over the warm pie before serving.
