Description
These chewy, colorful licorice ropes are made with Kool-Aid for fruity flavor and vibrant color. A nostalgic, fun-to-make treat for kids and adults alike.

- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 packet (0.13 oz Kool-Aid powder (any flavor))
- 2 cups powdered sugar (for dusting)
- Gel food coloring (optional)
- Cooking spray or oil (for greasing surface and hands)
Instructions
- Line baking sheet with parchment and grease with cooking spray.
- Combine sugar, corn syrup, and water in saucepan over medium heat.
- Boil without stirring until it reaches 250°F (hard ball stage).
- Remove from heat, stir in Kool-Aid and optional food coloring.
- Pour onto greased parchment and cool for 3–5 minutes.
- Stretch and twist into ropes with greased hands.
- Roll in powdered sugar and cool completely.
- Cut and store in airtight container for up to 1 week.
