A rich and creamy hot chocolate cheesecake with an Oreo crust.

- Oreo Crust
- 3 cups Oreos, fine crumb
- 5 TBSP Unsalted butter, melted
- Hot Chocolate Cheesecake
- 24 oz Cream cheese, room temperature
- 3/4 cup White granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup Hot cocoa mix, 2 packets
- 1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup Sour cream, room temperature
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream, room temperature
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
- 4 Large eggs, room temperature
- Whipped Cream
- 1 1/2 cups Heavy cream, cold
- 1/4 cup Powdered sugar
- 1 tsp Pure vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- Combine Oreo crumbs and melted butter in a bowl.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a springform pan.
- In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
- Add sugar, hot cocoa mix, and cocoa powder. Mix well.
- Incorporate sour cream and heavy cream. Mix until combined.
- Add vanilla extract and eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Pour the cheesecake batter over the crust.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
- Cool in the oven with the door ajar for 1 hour.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Whip cold heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until peaks form.
- Top cheesecake with whipped cream before serving.
Notes
- Use room temperature ingredients for better mixing.
- Chill the cheesecake overnight for best results.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings if desired.
