- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- Vegetable oil for frying
- For the Hot Honey Sauce:
- ½ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
- Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, butter, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Heat until melted and mixed.
- Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried shrimp. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust the hot sauce to your spice preference.
- For extra crunch, double coat the shrimp.
- Serve with a side of coleslaw or rice.
