Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • For the Hot Honey Sauce:
  • ½ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons hot sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together eggs and milk.
  3. Dip each shrimp into the egg mixture, then coat with the flour mixture.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Fry the shrimp until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  6. In a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, butter, apple cider vinegar, and red pepper flakes. Heat until melted and mixed.
  7. Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the fried shrimp. Serve immediately.

  • Adjust the hot sauce to your spice preference.
  • For extra crunch, double coat the shrimp.
  • Serve with a side of coleslaw or rice.
