  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 1½ tablespoons milk (for icing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix oats, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until fluffy.
  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture.
  6. Drop tablespoon-sized dough portions onto the baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are golden. Let cool on the sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  8. For the icing, whisk powdered sugar and milk until smooth. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
