Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned.
  5. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Toast hamburger buns lightly.
  8. Spoon beef mixture onto buns and top with Swiss cheese.
  9. Broil for 1-2 minutes until cheese melts.
  10. Garnish with parsley if desired.
