- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
For Serving:
- Tortilla chips (crackers, or toasted baguette slices)
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat and Prep
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Lightly grease a small baking dish (about 8x8 inches) or use a cast iron skillet for a rustic touch.
Step 2: Make the Creamy Base
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Mix in the sour cream and mayonnaise until well combined.
Step 3: Add Flavor and Crab
- Stir in the shredded cheddar, mozzarella (if using), green onions, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- Gently fold in the crab meat, being careful not to break it up too much.
Step 4: Bake the Dip
- Transfer the mixture into your prepared baking dish.
- Smooth the top with a spatula and sprinkle a little extra cheddar on top if desired.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until hot, bubbly, and golden around the edges.
Step 5: Garnish and Serve
- Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle with extra green onions for color and freshness.
- Serve warm with chips, crackers, or toasted baguette slices.
