- 12 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized cubes
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Cook bowtie pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken cubes and cook until browned and no longer pink inside, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer.
- Add Parmesan cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and mix well.
- Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. Cover and let it melt for 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use fresh garlic for the best flavor.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
