Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium sized ripe bananas (mashed, about 2 cups)
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter melted
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup Nutella

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, mix mashed bananas, melted butter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Fill muffin cups halfway with batter. Add a teaspoon of Nutella to each, then top with more batter.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool before serving.

Notes

  • Use ripe bananas for best flavor.
  • Do not overmix the batter.
