Old School Pizza Burgers combine the best of pizza and burgers in one easy, cheesy recipe. These open-faced sandwiches are baked until bubbly and perfect for weeknight dinners, parties, or nostalgic comfort food cravings.

- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 6 burger buns (halved)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- Optional: sliced pepperoni (olives, diced bell peppers, or onions)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease.
- Stir in pizza sauce and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–7 minutes.
- Place bun halves on a baking sheet, cut side up. Toast lightly under the broiler (optional).
- Spoon meat mixture evenly onto each bun.
- Top with shredded cheese and any optional toppings.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes, or broil for 2–3 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
