This Orange Creamsicle Cake brings a delightful blend of orange flavor and creamy texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 box orange cake mix (15.25 oz)
  • 1 cup orange soda or orange juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup cold milk
  • 1 teaspoon orange extract (optional)
  • 1 (8 oz) container whipped topping (Cool Whip), thawed
  • Orange zest or orange slices (optional garnish)
  • White chocolate shavings (optional garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine cake mix, orange soda or juice, vegetable oil, and eggs.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan.
  5. Bake as directed on the cake mix box.
  6. While the cake cools, prepare the filling by whisking together the pudding mix and cold milk.
  7. Add orange extract if desired and mix until smooth.
  8. Fold in the whipped topping gently.
  9. Once the cake is cool, slice it in half horizontally.
  10. Spread the filling between the layers and on top of the cake.
  11. Garnish with orange zest or slices and white chocolate shavings if desired.
