Description
A delicious grilled cheese sandwich with pears, apples, and caramelized onions.
Ingredients

- 4 slices sourdough bread
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 medium pear, thinly sliced
- 1 medium apple, thinly sliced
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Add butter to the skillet and let it melt.
- Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10 minutes.
- In another skillet, layer one slice of bread, cheese, pear, apple, and caramelized onions.
- Top with another slice of bread.
- Grill until golden brown on both sides and cheese is melted.
- Remove from heat and slice in half.
