Description

A delicious pecan upside-down cake with a caramelized pecan topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 pack instant vanilla pudding
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 stick butter (melted)
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 cup pecans
  • Non-stick baking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Spray a baking pan with non-stick baking spray.
  3. Mix the melted butter and brown sugar, then spread evenly in the pan.
  4. Arrange pecans on top of the butter-sugar mixture.
  5. In a bowl, combine cake mix, pudding mix, eggs, oil, and water.
  6. Pour the batter over the pecans.
  7. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool for 10 minutes, then invert onto a serving plate.

Notes
