  • 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, with juice
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (e.g., Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup shredded coconut (optional)
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the yellow cake mix, crushed pineapple with juice, and melted butter until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, beat together the cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  6. Once the cake is cooled, spread the cream cheese mixture over the top.
