Description

A rich and creamy pumpkin dessert that combines cake and gooey filling.


Ingredients

  • 1 (18 1/4 oz) package yellow cake mix
  • 1 egg
  • 2 sticks melted and divided Butter
  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 1 (8 oz) package softened cream cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 (16 oz) box powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon Nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, 1 egg, and 1 stick of melted butter. Mix until blended.
  3. Press this mixture into the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  4. In another bowl, mix the pumpkin, cream cheese, 3 eggs, vanilla, powdered sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and the remaining stick of melted butter.
  5. Pour the pumpkin mixture over the cake layer in the baking dish.
  6. Bake for 40-50 minutes until the edges are set but the center remains gooey.
  7. Let it cool before slicing.

Notes

  • Serve warm or chilled.
  • Can be topped with whipped cream.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
