Description
A creamy and spicy pasta dish with chicken, jalapeños, and cajun seasoning.
Ingredients
Scale
- 12 oz (340g) pasta (fettuccine, penne, or any pasta of your choice)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 lb (450g) chicken breast, boneless and skinless, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cajun seasoning
- 3-4 fresh jalapeños, sliced (remove seeds for less heat)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cajun seasoning. Cook until chicken is browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add jalapeños and garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Stir and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low. Add Parmesan cheese and lemon juice. Stir until cheese melts and sauce thickens.
- Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet. Toss to coat evenly.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Adjust jalapeño quantity for desired spiciness.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if needed.
- Freshly grated Parmesan works best for a smoother sauce.
