- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- Ingredients required for cake mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)
- 1 jar (16 oz) creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 cup crushed Reese’s peanut butter cups
- 1 cup mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
- 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake batter as per box instructions.
- Spread peanut butter over the bottom of a greased baking dish.
- Sprinkle powdered sugar evenly over the peanut butter.
- Pour cake batter over the peanut butter and sugar layer.
- Top with crushed and chopped Reese’s cups.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips, butter, and heavy cream over low heat. Stir until smooth.
- Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
- Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
Notes
- Use a 9x13-inch baking dish for best results.
- Allow cake to cool before adding toppings to prevent melting.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
