A decadent chocolate cake layered with peanut butter, Reese's cups, and a rich chocolate topping.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • Ingredients required for cake mix (usually eggs, oil, and water)
  • 1 jar (16 oz) creamy peanut butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup crushed Reese’s peanut butter cups
  • 1 cup mini Reese’s peanut butter cups, chopped
  • 1 tub (8 oz) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare cake batter as per box instructions.
  2. Spread peanut butter over the bottom of a greased baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle powdered sugar evenly over the peanut butter.
  4. Pour cake batter over the peanut butter and sugar layer.
  5. Top with crushed and chopped Reese’s cups.
  6. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool completely.
  8. In a saucepan, melt chocolate chips, butter, and heavy cream over low heat. Stir until smooth.
  9. Spread whipped topping over the cooled cake and drizzle with chocolate sauce.
  10. Chill for at least 1 hour before serving.

Notes

  • Use a 9x13-inch baking dish for best results.
  • Allow cake to cool before adding toppings to prevent melting.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
