Description

These Rice Krispie Chocolate Chip Cookies combine the classic chocolate chip cookie with crispy Rice Krispies for a unique texture.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture. Mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and Rice Krispies.
  7. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  9. Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • Store cookies in an airtight container for up to a week.
  • For chewier cookies, slightly underbake them.
  • You can substitute other types of chocolate chips if desired.
