Delicious and rich buttery pecan donuts with a sweet glaze and crunchy pecans.
Ingredients

- 1½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- ½ cup buttermilk
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped pecans, toasted
- ½ cup unsalted butter
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tbsp heavy cream
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
- Additional chopped pecans for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In another bowl, whisk melted butter, buttermilk, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients. Fold in toasted pecans.
- Spoon the batter into the donut pan. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
- For the glaze, melt butter in a saucepan. Add brown sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt. Cook until smooth.
- Dip cooled donuts in the glaze. Sprinkle with extra pecans if desired.
Notes
- Toast pecans for extra flavor.
- Let donuts cool before glazing.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
