Description

Delicious Samoa Rice Krispie Treats with a caramel and coconut topping.


Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Rice Krispie Treats:
    • 1/3 cup butter
    • 5 cups mini marshmallows
    • 6 cups Caramel Crunch cereal
  • For the Samoa Layer:
    • 11 oz. bag of caramels
    • 2 tbs heavy whipping cream
    • 1 1/2 cups coconut
    • 3 cups milk chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large pot over low heat.
  2. Add marshmallows and stir until melted.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in cereal until coated.
  4. Press mixture into a greased pan and let cool.
  5. Melt caramels and cream in a saucepan, stirring until smooth.
  6. Spread caramel over the cooled Rice Krispie Treats.
  7. Sprinkle coconut evenly over the caramel layer.
  8. Melt chocolate chips and drizzle over the top.
  9. Let set before cutting into squares.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper for easy removal.
  • Store in an airtight container.
  • Substitute dark chocolate if preferred.
