Description

A hearty slow cooker casserole with tender steak and creamy cheddar potatoes.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lbs sirloin or ribeye steak, cubed
  • 4 large Russet or Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, freshly grated
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • smoked paprika
  • black pepper
  • salt

Instructions

  1. Heat butter in a skillet and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. In a slow cooker, layer sliced potatoes, then add the cubed steak.
  3. Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream.
  4. Sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika.
  5. Top with grated cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until potatoes are tender.

  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
