A moist and flavorful spiced apple cider donut loaf topped with a sweet cinnamon sugar crust.

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp ground allspice
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for crust)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon (for crust)
- 2 tbsp melted butter (for crust)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a loaf pan.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and allspice.
- In another bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until combined.
- Add eggs, apple cider, and vanilla to the butter mixture. Stir well.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Mix sugar and cinnamon for the crust in a small bowl.
- Brush the top of the warm loaf with melted butter, then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture evenly over it.
- Let cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use fresh apple cider for the best flavor.
- Do not overmix the batter to keep the loaf tender.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
