Strawberry Crackle Salad

Description

A refreshing and crunchy salad with strawberries and a sweet cream cheese layer.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 4 cups sliced strawberries
  • 2 8 oz packages cream cheese, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 16 oz Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, chopped pecans, brown sugar, and melted butter.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9x13 inch pan.
  4. Bake for 10 minutes, then let it cool.
  5. In another bowl, mix softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled pretzel crust.
  7. Top with sliced strawberries.
  8. Spread Cool Whip over the strawberries.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator.
  • Can substitute strawberries with other berries if preferred.
