Crispy mashed potato nests filled with savory ground beef and topped with melted mozzarella.
Ingredients

- 3–5 large potatoes (enough to yield about 4 cups of mashed potatoes)
- 3.5 tbsp (50g) butter, melted
- Salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, and oregano, to taste
- Fresh dill, chopped (for garnish)
- 1.1 lbs (500g) ground beef
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 1 large tomato, diced
- 2.5 oz (70g) tomato paste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3.5 oz (100g) mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Boil potatoes until tender, then mash with melted butter, salt, smoked paprika, black pepper, and oregano.
- Press mashed potatoes into muffin tins to form nests.
- Bake nests for 15 minutes until edges are crispy.
- Cook ground beef in a pan until browned.
- Add onion, garlic, red bell pepper, tomato, and tomato paste. Season with salt and black pepper.
- Spoon beef mixture into potato nests.
- Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
- Bake for 10 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh dill and parsley before serving.
Notes
- Use russet potatoes for best texture.
- Adjust spices to your preference.
- Let nests cool slightly before removing from muffin tins.
