Ingredients

- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender.
- In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and thyme or parsley.
- Stir in the cooked mushroom mixture.
- Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Serve warm with crackers or bread.
Notes
- You can add cooked sausage for extra flavor.
- Substitute different cheeses as desired.
- This dip can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
