A creamy and savory stuffed mushroom dip perfect for parties.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
  • 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat olive oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add sliced mushrooms and garlic; sauté until mushrooms are tender.
  4. In a bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, salt, pepper, and thyme or parsley.
  5. Stir in the cooked mushroom mixture.
  6. Transfer to a baking dish and top with remaining mozzarella.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Serve warm with crackers or bread.

Notes

  • You can add cooked sausage for extra flavor.
  • Substitute different cheeses as desired.
  • This dip can be made ahead and baked just before serving.
